We appreciate your confidence and as you can see, we are continuing to invest in repairs and improvements to your property. We're proud to have been long-term stewards of several important Lakeview residences, most having been built almost a century ago, and we view it as a privilege to restore their original elegance. We appreciate your patience as we work through these improvements. While our Lakeview residences are important to us all, much of the real value derives from our neighborhood, and this community in which we all are members. We regularly work with local officials to cooperate and provide value where we are able, and to ensure that our neighborhood remains safe, vibrant and beautiful. Given our proximity to the lakefront, our commercial corridors, and especially Wrigley Field, it’s even more important that we work together with our community and our community leaders to protect and improve Lakeview. For our Lakeview neighborhood, much of the responsibility for coordinating community stewardship falls on ‘our Alderman of the 44" Ward, Tom Tunney. | have known Tom personally since he assumed the responsibility years ago, and in my opinion he has done an outstanding job as a steward of the 44"* Ward. Tom has done much during his tenure to improve neighborhood safety, maintain and beautify streetscapes, improve parks, improve housing and support healthy commerce. It’s not an easy job given the challenges Chicago faces, and Tom has done it with energy, compassion, professionalism, and integrity. Through his commitment and determination, Tom has made us all better stewards of our community, and we are grateful for his leadership. It's for these reasons, and many others, that | intend to support Tom in his efforts to be re-elected as Alderman for the 44" Ward. We need Tom to remain alderman and Tom could use our help to do so. As such, | will be hosting a reception and open house, with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, for Tom on Monday, September 24", from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the lobby of our 3240 N. Lake Shore Drive building. We are inviting you, and other residents from our Lakeview residences for this event.
