animals in their house (bottom part of the 
house) 
• Rizal’s mother has a store under their house 
and a rice mill to make flour and a place to 
make ham as well. 
• One of the first families to have a house 
made of stone in Calamba

▪A little nipa cottage was built by hi father in

folklore stories (Tikbalang/ Aswang)

of Fr. Lencio Lopez 
 
▪  When Narcisa married  Antonino  Lopez they 
lived  in  the  parish  house  where  Fr.  Leoncio 
was the cura parroco 
▪All of Fr. Leoncio’s material belongs were 
inherited by Antonino when he died 
 
▪ One of the unsung heroes is Paciano 
▪ Paciano was a general in Philippine 
Revolution 
▪ Paciano returned and settled in Calamba to 
oversee their hacienda, thus becoming the 
Padre de Familia 
▪ Paciano did not marry 
▪ He does not want to be photographed as he 
wanted to be a man in the past 
▪ And it would be easier for him to walk 
everywhere w/o being recognized especially 
by the authorities
