Soneri Bank:
SBL Incorporated on September 28, 1991 the first Branch of Soneri Bank Limited
formally opened doors for operations in Lahore on April 16, 1992 followed by Karachi
Branch on May 09, 1992. The bank now operates with 117 branches spread all over
Pakistan including the Northern Areas of the country where no other private bank has
ventured so far.

Soneri Bank Limited Rahim Yar Khan Branch:

Soneri bank limited Rahim Yar Khan Branch started its operation on March 19th 2007.it
is located on Model Town, Town hall area, Rahim Yar khan. The location is connected to
all the main trade centers in Rahim Yar khan. The Brach is doing work efficiently
working and streaming towards great achievements.

Different factors through which branch gained benefit as

Rahim Yar khan is linked to many villages.

My working experiences
I worked at SBL Rahim Yar Khan for six weeks & it gave me a greater practical
knowledge about the operations of a bank. Although, a derisory period of six weeks is not
enough to learn the complex operations of Soneri Bank Limited. Yet I made industrious
efforts to seek knowledge and experience I had worked in various department such as:
• Account opening department
• Clearing Department
• Collection Department
• Remittance Department
• Credit Department
• Cash department.
Account Opening department:
The general banking department performs various functions among them the first and
most important function is A/C opening. The bank reserves the right to open any account,
which in its opinion is suitable as a customer.
Bank offer such types of account like
• Current account
• PlS Saving Account
• Basic Banking Account
• Soneri Saving Account

Clearing department:

Collection department:

This department is controlled by Mr.Umair Khalid. The clearing process majority

involves receiving the cheque and making payments. This process can be inward or out
word.
This Department includes Inward Bills for Collection and out Bills for Collection.
OBC.
The bills which are sent to their cities bank for local clearing in that city, are the out word
Bills for Collection.
IBC.
The Bills are received from other Banks out of the city for the local clearing are called in
ward Bills for Collection.
Remittances Department:
Remittance Department Provides Services to the customer of the Bank The main
Function of this Department is transfer fund.incharge of third department is
Mr.Muhammad Khalid.

I had a wonderful experience of doing internship in SBL Bank. I have got much
information regarding the practical work of bank. SBL is one of the leading banks of
Pakistan. It has a greatest network of branches in the country.

If we talk about the financial position of the bank it is outstanding, its earning is
very well and increasing year by year. It should provide more services to the people
because it is the ear of competition and private banks are struggling more to provide
products and services to the people.

I have a very good experience to work here and I have learned lot of things
regarding banking operations and especially the staff of the bank is very diligent, honest
and devoted to their work. They all have guided me for better work.
