LITERACY focus standards MATH focus standards

CCSS: RL1.3 Students will describe We are focusing on counting strategies, the
setting, characters, and major events in a proper use of Math tools, and sums of 10.
story using key details. (NBT.1/OA.6)
We use a “Retell Rope” to identify and describe a
story’s setting, characters, problem, major events from
the beginning, middle, end, and the solution.
