I. OBJECTIVES
The students should be able to:
a. State ways of numbers one more and one less;
b. Count numbers one more and one less; and
c. Participate actively in numbers one more and one less.

C. Materials : Pictures of buses, children, boy, gallons, balls, girls, and chickens
D. Math Concept : When counting by ones using three consecutive numbers, the middle number is
always 1 more than the number before it and 1 less than the number after it.

So, 11 is 1 more than 10 and 9 is 1 less than 10

So, there are 5 balls in the picture

So we say, 6 is 1 more than 5 and 4 is 1 less than 5

Let’s count starting from number 4 to 6

We can see that when we count by ones from 4 to 6, the middle
number (5) is 1 more than 4 and 1 less than 6.
