Nasir pointed out that Malaysians need to actively encourage and support
startup culture among the youths, or even among those currently working in
either government or private sectors to improve overall economic
composition of, or contributory elements to the nation’s productivity,
particularly in cities, towns and villages outside Klang Valley.
Nasir introduced KUMUDA as ‘a one-year old startup co-op from rural Balik
Pulau’ and said, “We are honoured to be given a chance to co-organize this

participants, mentors and co-organizers from outside Penang can also enjoy
what this UNESCO-gazette World Heritage site can offer.”
Dash continued, “Ignite Your Startup Tour is inspired from Seattle, USA
originated Startup Weekend event that has been held in over 80 cities
around the world, inspire over 16,000 entrepreneurs, and launch over 700
new startup ventures. This is an event you cannot afford to miss!”
