PROKON 2017

Introduction
CONCRETE DESIGN

The concrete design modules can be used for the design of reinforced and pre-stress:

 Concrete beams
 Slabs,
 Columns,
 Column bases
 Retaining walls.

Floor slabs
Transmit live loads as well as stationary dead loads to the horizontal beams,
which are part of the frame. Slabs do this in bending and shear.

Beams
Transmit loads from the slabs to the vertical columns in bending and shear.

Foundations
Carry all vertical loads to the soil. Vertical loads include all dead load and live
loads

Columns
Columns carries all vertical loads to the foundations in compression. There
may be bending moments as a result of the frame action

Using
PROKON

IMPORTANT NOTE :
 This document contains the steps on how using prokon
software and this report goes straight to the work
(calculation)

 Some of the work we have not able to workand view

because we have using the trial version

 For this project we are just have to calculate for beams

and columns

 We have taken a flat slab (roof) for the first floor

CONTINUOUS BEAM FOR GROUND FLOOR

1) Open proton then go click on concrete because we are going to design for a concrete
structure.
2) For beam ,g o on CB (Continuous beam)

3) Go on input

4) Then go in parameters and input the values mentioned.
