INTRODUCE

1.1. Background
Along with the advancement of science and technology and
free trade, competitive advantage of competent and qualified human
resources (HR) of Indonesia is needed to be able to manage the wealth
of Natural Resources (SDA), especially on the aspects of oil and
natural gas.
Because it is OIL & GAS STT Balikpapan with vision as a
barometer of the development of science and technology of oil and gas
by creating a human resources (HR) a reliable, independent,
professional, and insightful Global. In order to achieve the the need for
vision intelligent mission STT Balikpapan hosted the education
(teaching, research and public service) by means of a high quality,
innovative and responsive to global change, instill moral values and
ethics, creative and innovative, independent and broad-minded and
ready to use and advanced training in the oil and gas industry.
On the basis of that, we thought as a high school freshman
Technology oil and Gas (OIL & GAS STT) Balikpapan implement
work practices in PT PertaminaEP Tanjung Aseet 5 Field.
PERTAMINA EP is a company engaged in the exploration and
exploitation of oil and gas that have used technology and advanced
equipment to support oil and gas production process itself. Expertise
and skills in implementing employment is a requirement that is not
negotiable in order that the manufacturing process can run with safe,
effective, efficient and safe for the environment.

1.2. Goals and purpose of work Practice
a. The Meaning Of Job Practice
Job training is one of the conditions for the final semester
students in completing the study on the Undergraduate courses of
petroleum engineering STT Balikpapan Oil & Gas . The intent of
the practicum is to harmonize science obtained dalamproses lecture
dith this aspect of practice in the field. In addition it also,
untukmendapatkan experience in the world of work, so as to
provide a real picture of the world of work.
b. Tujuan Kerja Praktek
Recall process per lecture an and understanding of the
field operations are two indispensable things students in the world
of work later, then some of the things you want to accomplish in
the this practice work activities include:
1. Gets the description of oil & gas field operation process
thoroughly.
2. To train prospective undergraduate petroleum engineering
in order to have the ability in applying the knowledge that
has been gained in the process of the lecture into an actual
field conditions, especially on PT PERTAMINA Assets 5
Tanjung Field
3. Understand and know the production problems as well as
handling on the field PT PERTAMINA Assets 5 Tanjung
Field
4. Understand the process of shipping oil from Tanjung Field
heading to RU V Balikpapan
5. To train prospective undergraduate petroleum engineering
in order to have the ability to work both individually as
well as team work in solving problems related to the world
of petroleum.

 1.3. The Scope Of The Job Practice
The scope of work of this practice is to learn and understand the
system working at its production operations (PO), WO/WS (Work
Over/Well Service), as well as the function of PE (Petroleum
Engineering).

1.4. Data Capture Methodology

In the preparation of this report using several methods of practice

which include:
1. Indirect Method (Library Research), i.e. with the study of
literature, media and other supporters.
2. Direct methods (Analysis and Discussion), this method
involves direct students to discuss about the condition in field
with accompanying.
