Coastal chklist z/op 25 to be strictly complied.
BA Keep a good lookout for buoys as some of them are missing and some of them only
1265 base is present. Buoys 4, 8 and 10 are missing. Buoy 5 is south of and buoy 12 is
north of their charted positions. These info is also marked on chart along with other
notes for ready reference.
Keep clear of No go areas as marked on chart. Tidal current avg 1.5kn. ebb 105 and
flood 285.
Keep a good lookout for fishing boats and incoming tankers proceeding to anchorage.
Read various notes written on chart and Satellite Dervived Positions.

FOR ARUBA BA 702. This chart will be in use again for a brief period after BA 702
when the vessel will be on the course of 295 x 571’.
Plot position every 30 min or less and then reduce to every 15 min and 10 min as
marked on chart. Watch condition 1 ( 2 in case of traffic or restricted visibility ).
BA While on course of 277 x 503’ , maintain PI of 6.8’ from BONAIRE ISLAND and when
2193 on course of 261 x 52’ , maintain PI of 5’ from CURACAO ISLAND as marked on chart.
Keep clear of no go Areas as marked on chart.

Watch out for pleasure crafts and small fishing boats and other vessels inbound and
out bound from various ports situated in Aruba island. Monitor navtex egc warnings
and vhf broadcasts. Some tanker vessels may be underway to transhipment area for
sts oper (RAM) , keep well clear of them.
Call coastal Marine VHF ch 08 / 16 for crew change info and liase with them
accordingly.

BA ( ULCCs / VLCCs ) ENGAGED IN SHIP TO SHIP TRANSFER OPERATION WHILE
3857 UNDERWAY OR THEY MAY BE MANOURVEING. THESE VESSELS ARE
RESTRICTED IN THEIR ABILITY TO MANOUVER , GIVE A WIDE BERTH TO
THESE VESSELS.
Monitor VHF broadcasts , EGC and Navtex warnings and plot accordingly.
INFORM VTS LOOP RADAR AS MARKED ON CHART WHEN VESSEL IS 20 MILES
FROM PBG.
Currents : Heavy outflow from Missisippi River may cause WESTERLY CURRENTS
( 75% of the time ) with and average rate of 0.72kn to 2kn or more. for details please
