By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to recognize at
least 2 letters correctly by listening and writing the correct
phonemes.

Success Criteria:
By the end of the lesson,
1. All pupils will be able to listen and recognize at least
2 letters correctly by listening and writing the correct
phonemes.
2. Most pupils will be able to listen and recognize at
least 3 letters correctly by listening and writing the
correct phonemes.
3. Some pupils will be able to listen and recognize at
least 4 letters correctly by listening and writing the
 correct phonemes.

Activities: : 1.Pupils are guided to sing the Phonics song with gestures.
i. Pre-Lesson
ii. Lesson Development : 1. Pupils listen to the sounds ai,ee,igh,oa,oo and watch the
gestures.
2. Pupils are guided to listen and say out the words by
using the suitable blending technique.
3. Pupils listen to sounds and fill in the blanks with the
correct phoneme.
iii. Post Lesson : 1. Pupils match the pictures to the correct words.
