ABSTRACT

Background: Breast self-examination (BSE) for the detection of breast cancer is the easiest and
cheapest way to know lump.
Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental (Quasi Experiment). The design of this research
study in the form of one-group pretest-posttest using T-Test analysis
Results: Almost all respondents is no history of breast cancer approximately 96.1%, there is a
difference in attitude from SMAN 3 Seluma before and after counseling on BSE with a P value
(0.000), there are differences from SMAN 3 Seluma knowledge before and after counseling
about BSE with a P value (0.000), there are differences from SMAN 3 Seluma knowledge before
and after counseling on BSE with a P value (0.000)
Suggestions: Results of the study can be used as inputs in formulating health promotion program
by directing people especially women to better understand the early detection of breast cancer
through breast self-examination (BSE)

ABSTRAK
Latar belakang : Pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI) untuk mendeteksi kanker payudara
adalah cara termudah dan termurah mengetahui adanya benjolan.
Metode: Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen). Penelitian ini
menggunakan desain penelitian yang berbentuk one grup pre test-post test dengan menggunakan
analisis T-Test
Hasil: Hampir seluruh responden adalah tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit kanker payudara
sekitar 96,1 %, terdapat perbedaan Sikap siswi SMAN 3 Seluma sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan
penyuluhan tentang SADARI dengan nilai P(0,000), terdapat perbedaan Pengetahuan siswi
SMAN 3 Seluma sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan tentang SADARI dengan nilai
P(0,000), terdapat perbedaan Pengetahuan siswi SMAN 3 Seluma sebelum dan sesudah
dilakukan penyuluhan tentang SADARI dengan nilai P(0,000)
Saran : Hasil penelitian dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai masukan dalam menyusun program promosi
kesehatan dengan mengarahkan masyarakat khususnya wanita untuk lebih memahami mengenai
deteksi dini kanker payudara melalui pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI)
