Brand name:

PPP (Poly Plastic Products)

Brand name’s meaning:

We chose Poly Plastic Products since the term Poly comes from the words polythene,
which is the most common plastic, and polymerization which involves the combination
of two or more molecules to form a single one. Like the reaction of polymerization, we
would also like our products to combine different functions into a single affordable and
durable item for purchase by using compostable and eco-friendly polymer materials.

The Product

Product Name:

The Poly Press N Paste is a toothpaste dispenser and brush holder that will provide its
users with a quick and convenient brushing experience. No longer will they need to
deal with the clutter a tub of toothpaste, cup and toothbrushes leave on the bathroom
sink. And also, with the Poly Press N Paste, the need to squeeze toothpaste is gone. All it
requires is a simple push. It is easy to set up and use, plus mounting it on the wall will free
up space in the bathroom too. It comes in a variety of styles and designs so it may fit in

The Poly Press N Paste toothpaste dispenser and brush holder is made of a highly
sustainable resource made of organic wheat straw.

This is a plastic made from crushed fibers and stalks of wheat. 100% renewable, the

product durability.

The Price

Realistic Price Range:

P130 - P350

5
Preferred Pricing Strategy:

The preferred pricing strategy for the introduction of our product in the market
would be penetration pricing. The Poly Press N Paste is cheaper than most of the other
toothpaste dispensers and brush holder products but can compete in the same level of
quality and aesthetic and it is expected that this will encourage shoppers to purchase it.

Approach in Setting the Price:

The company took cost-based approach in setting the price, specifically the
cost-plus pricing approach. The materials our product will be using, organic wheat straw
is a rapidly renewable resource, making production much cheaper than other
traditional plastic materials. Our desired rate of return is 40%.

Cost Based Pricing Approach: Cost Plus Pricing

SP = (Product Cost x Desired Rate) + Original Cost

SP = (₱95 x 40%) + ₱95

SP = ₱38 + ₱95

SP = ₱133

Final Selling Price: P130

How will your selling price help the company achieve its mission/vision?

Since it is our mission and vision to lead the plastic industry by providing useful and
durable environmentally friendly products, the low and affordable price for a good
quality product can give us a large reach in the market to do so.

Price and competitive advantage:

Our business has an advantage since we can make the product for less than our
competitors, allowing us to price it lower, and do more in bulk sales.

Price and customer satisfaction:

Customers will be satisfied by the quality and usefulness of our products while being
affordable at the same time. It can perform and look as good if not better as our
competitors’ products for a cheaper price.

Promoting

Diagram

As show in the diagram, our company wanted to distribute our products to as many
household product outlets as possible so they will be encountered by a larger number
of consumers.

Main objectives for promoting?

7
Our main objectives for promoting include raising awareness for our brand, launch
new products and services, and increase sales.

Target Audience

Our target audience could be everyone because our product is something that
could appeal to anyone. It is not limited to a certain demographic, or location as it
caters to a universal human need which is hygiene. This allows us to create ads that
simply convey a positive feeling and is likely to have a broad appeal.

Tagline

“It may be be plastic, but it’s fantastic!”

Start-up promotional investment

We would be spending P440,000 for promotional activities.

Our print and online advertisement budget would cost around P25,000 and our
television budget would be P400,000. Others such as radio broadcasts, signages would
cost P15,000.

Marketing Communication Mix

Online and print advertising and personal selling will work best because they would
allow our products to be exposed and generate sales to a larger portion of the market
in a shorter period of time. It would also cost less than television advertising.
