INTRODUCTION

Cinema is powerful medium in Indian society. Cricket, boxing, recalling is very popular and
connected with Indian culture in current scenario youngster will be inspired by sports ‘s
life . Biopics, especially sports biopics have become the flavor of the today on box office .
Sports personalities have become a huge source of inspiration for filmmakers who are
game to make films based on them. History has given birth to heroes from across the globe,
especially in the field of sports with inspiring stories of true grit, determination and
underdog spirit proving triumphant despite horrible odds. The research will beconducted
on three popular Bollywood film. 1. M.s.dhoni. 2. Marry com3. Dangal.Three different Commented [BK1]: Explain How and why these films were

sports likecricket, Boxing and wrestling. Also this research conduct about three different
dimension -m.sdhoni( personal life of sportsman). Marrycom(reflected strength of women
and her struggle). And dangal–(reflected social scenario among women wrestler in Indian
society )In India sports biopics are big. Not only do they captivate audience’s imaginations
with strong, inspirational stories, but they also set cash registers ringing.

'Dhoni ' The Untold Story'

This is probably one of the most populer biopic. .based on the captain cool of the Indian
Cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was played Dhoni on

'Dangal'
The film stars Aamir Khan portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught
wrestling to his daughters BabitaKumari and GeetaPhogat. GeetaPhogat was India's first
female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she won the gold medal
(55 kg) while her sister BabitaKumari won the silver (51 kg). The movie portrays the
emotional journey and the equation between the family
MARRYKOM
Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Mary Kom' also won the audiences over with original stories and
strong emotional content that had an instant viewer connect.

Justification

Incurrent scenario viewing inaudio video medium cinema is very large scale medium.
Bollywood mad very impressive effect on viewers mind and due to that youngster also
inspired by sportsman’s life and choosestheircareer in sports like cricket,boxing,wrestling.
This sports are also traditional games of India so people are very much connected with this
game, thisstudywill be useful for that people. In present trends large scope ofgood
sportsman in India. This study is useful for this young generation. Study willalso find out
how the viewer of 21stcentury and a common people think about the sport person and
make opinion about sports world .

Objectives

DELIMITATION
This research will only study Bollywood three success and popular movie and three
major sports like cricket, boxing and wrestling other biopic made in Bollywood like

 HYPOHESIS

Biopics are inspirational. People from all walks of life feel associated with their personality.
Families also don’t mind taking their kids to such movies as they know they will be clean
movie. Good films will work and bad won’t. All these films did well because of good
filmmaking. They were well enacted with the right amount of excitement and emotional
connect and not just because they were biopics. It doesn’t mean that any biopic on an actor
or a sportsperson will work.Well-narrated stories usually win the appreciation of
viewers.After that everybody tends to run in the direction of successful biopic
movies.Bollywood has come a long way – from depicting glamorous and extravagant fairy
tales to modest real-life stories where everything is not picture perfect, masses still prefer
masala movies, but real-life stories are also becoming popular. The genre of sports-based
movies were there previously, but rather sporadically

How are these different from fictional stories on sports personalities like Chak De India!
and what is the impact of not successful biopics like Azahar.

interview with regional sports personality.Descriptive analysis of above mentioned
sportsman actual life and biopic film. By this film how this correctors create different
