STRATEGY #1

Hide and seek strategy is very effective specially in


Math teaching. Students clamor most of the time that
Mathematics is really very difficult.

In order to teach Mathematics with fun, teachers should


also introduce a strategy which breaks their boredom.

To use this strategy, teachers will prepare at least five


mathematical problem to be placed at the back of the
students. They will sing a song in which a ball will be passed
to each other when the teacher says stop then the student
who holds the ball will guess the student with paper at the
back and he/she will be the one to answer the problem.

If he/she answers the problem then he/she gets a prize.


STRATEGY #2

After the teacher introduced a topic, she/he will give


the prepared strips of paper to two students.

They are given fifteen minutes to answer the activity


and with the time allotted for them, they are given the
chance to share the answers.

After the allotted time, the two decide who will share
their answers in front of the class.

This strategy develops the critical thinking of the


students and develop their self-confidence.
STRATEGY #3

"Guess and Check" is a


problem-solving strategy that
students can use to solve
mathematical problems
by guessing the answer and
then checking that the guess fits the
conditions of the problem.
The first five students who gets
the solution of the problem will be
given the chance to show their
solutions in front of the class.
STRATEGY #4

With the aid of their knowledge on creative


writing in English, the students write a poem using
mathematical terms.

The teacher also checks the correct usage of


their grammar. Linking English with Mathematics
gives a better avenue for creating excellent writers.

I do believe that teachers could be the


instrument in procuring excellent writers.

The teachers also introduce the rubrics in rating


their works to wit;
90-100 - - - - No error in grammar
80-89 - - - - with some errors in grammar
75-79 - - - - - Needs to be reconstructed
STRATEGY #5

After a thorough discussion of the teacher for the whole


chapter. The students will be given the chance to
summarize the topic in front of the class.

This is a sort of a contest open to all. The teacher may


also invite teachers to judge the contestants.

Top 3 winners will be given prizes in order to


commensurate their efforts.

This strategy enables the students to develop their


speaking skills and enhance their self-confedence.
