Topic: Phrasal verbs

Activity objectives:

 Students will learn the meaning of 10 phrasal verbs

 Students will provide written and speaking skills practice of some phrasal verbs

CLASS DESCRIPTION RESOURCES TIME


Warm-Up (Pre): At the beginning, the teacher will ask the students what the

know about phrasal verbs. If they do know some phrasal verbs the teacher will tell

Then, the teacher will show two videos in which students can observe the phrasal

verbs of the previous list. When the two videos end, the students will read one more

time the list out loud guided by the teacher to memorize the pronunciation of each

phrasal verb.

Practice (While): Next, the teacher will set students in pairs. For this activity the 25 minutes

students will create a conversation using the phrasal verbs mentioned during the class
and the previous vocabulary that they know. After finishing the activity, students will

read the conversation to the teacher.

Production (post): Finally, the teacher gives the students a gap fill worksheet, in 15 minutes

which students should connect each phrasal verb with the right sentence.

Materials: Board, Computer, Video beam, Printed sheets, worksheet, pencils, marker, music, notebooks.

Assessment (post):

 Class discussion: For the beginning, the class will discuss the topic, in that order; they will identify the knowledge they have about it.

 Videos: Students start knowing more about the topic.

 Worksheet: Students fill out a worksheet to recall the new vocabulary.
