A dynamic forward thinking firm operating for more than 26 Years. Always improving its offering
to clients with a focus on formulations for water-based coatings. To keep up with more
customer demands they have also more recently added UV curing and Hot Melt technology to
the product portfolio. The latter two, cure virtually instantly which means that the company can
now offer customers products for factory application. This important development has enabled
them to expand their customer base in the UK and around the world.

The company has new technology coming on stream which will enable them to triple sales by
2022. This increase in revenue will generate a number of opportunities for ambitious
professionals to progress as the organisation continues to grow.

JOB TITLE/SCHEME: Graduate Regional Sales Executive

HOW MANY ROLES: 1

START DATE: ASAP

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

By working with the team, increase the sales of the company’s products by;

 Winning new customers


 Developing existing distributors and customers
 Appointing new distributors

You will be contacting prospects and win new customers as well as being responsible for
maintaining and growing a set of accounts. In short, you will be the point of contact between
the business and clients.

Sales Target: The company aims to increase sales of its core products by 10% year on year. You
will play an important part in achieving this target.

Time: You will spend about 70% of your time working on new business and 30% developing
existing customers and distributors
Region: Responsible for an Area in the UK and Overseas to win new business and contact
existing customers or distributors specified on Gold Vision (CRM) to grow existing customers

Resources: To assist you the following resources will be available to you; telephone (landline),
laptop, CRM system, company vehicle, spray (application equipment). You are responsible for
keeping company property safe and secure at all times.

The Person:
Are you passionate and motivated about taking the first step in your Sales career? They are
looking for someone to join their team as their Regional Sales Executive and play a major part in
growing the business.

Key Responsibilities:

 Winning new customers 70% of the time


 Maintaining and developing exisiting customers and distributors 30% of the time
 Dealing with overseas as well as UK sales enquiries

Key Tasks:

Win New Customers

1. To generate sales opportunities by prospecting for new business


2. To pursue each opportunity and convert prospects in to customers
3. To actively follow up inbound sales enquiries. Enquiries should be followed up within 8
working hours following receipt of an enquiry.
4. Where appropriate, visit potential customers to sell and demonstrate the company
products
5. To re-contact every new customer within 4 weeks of them placing their first order.

Develop Existing Distributors and Customers

1. Maintain contact by working to the company “customer contact strategy”, you will
contact Gold customers each month, silver customers once each quarter and bronze
customer twice per year as an absolute minimum.
2. To increase sales in existing or new market sectors
3. To ensure that products are used for the purposes for which they are designed and
applied in accordance with our application guide.
4. To investigate complaints and take the appropriate corrective action to deal with the
complaint and prevent the problem re-occurring.

Record all activity on CRM system

1. To Record all activity on the company Gold Vision (CRM system)


2. To fully utilise all customer information which includes; notes, broadcasts and
documentation, together with the use of the call back Activity system to monitor and
manage customer performance.

Barbour ABI CRM

1. To create and record construction related sales activity using Barbour ABI.
2. To make outbound telephone calls to verify the person responsible for glass protection
on a particular construction site.
3. To arrange sales demonstrations for the application technician to showcase the
company products

General

1. To carry out company sales visits and demonstrations where required to promote the
company
2. To ensure the company is not exposed to any undue risk
3. To work with and assist credit control to ensure any outstanding payments are
collected.
4. Ensure good communication with all staff

No overseas travel at this stage. The candidate will cover a large part of the UK and contact with
overseas customers will be by email, telephone or skype

The successful applicant will attend an initial 2 week training programme that will include a mix
of both classroom and field based training. Ongoing training will be agreed and delivered inline
with a personal development plan.

Over the next 4 years the company has a business plan to triple sales and therefore they
envisage opportunity to progress into more senior roles within an ambitious organisation

 Degree educated
 Articulate and confident communicator
 Commercially aware
 Full driving licence
 Happy to be in the field 1-2 days a week
 Excellent telephone sales manner
 Skills required to build customer relationships
 Strong negotiation skills
 Excellent communication skills
 Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
 Happy to work to and exceed targets
HOURS OF WORK: 8.00 – 17.00 1 hour lunch Monday to Friday

SALARY: £24,000+Bonus+Company car

Reviews on targets will be weekly, quarterly and yearly.
