Effectiveness Use the Olive Oil For Skin Care With Wounds

Abstract: Olive oil is an oil that has many benefits, one of which is for skin care, olive oil contains fatty
acids and various vitamins one of which is vitamin E which is good for the skin. Skin care is
one of the nursing interventions, skin care is done to prevent skin damage. Sistematic review
This quantitative research aims to specifically describe the benefits of Olive oil for skin care,
especially for patients who experience injuries, such as pressure sores, diabetic wounds and
sores on nipple or rash. In Indonesia, the incidence of compressive injuries in patients
treated in the ICU room reached 33%, a report on the results of Basic Health Research
(Riskesdas) in 2013 showed that the prevalence of DM in urban areas of Indonesia for over
15 years was 1.5%, the Indonesian Demographic and Health survey ( SDKI ) in 2012
showed that 55% of breastfeeding mothers experienced mastitis and nipple blisters. The
keywords used are Olive oil, skin care, ulcer healing. The research data was collected using
electronic databases such as Science Direct, Google Scholar, Proquest, EBSCOHOST,
SAGE, and CINAHL which were Journal from 2008-2018. 40 articles were obtained, 20
articles were reviewed and only five articles matched the criteria. These five articles provide
information about the benefits of Olive oil for skin care with wounds.
