Abstraction:
CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY
Chinese calligraphy is an art of beautiful handwriting.
It is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink.
Poets write their calligraphy on their paintings.
Calligraphy offers an important channel for the appreciation of traditional culture and for arts
education.
Logographs- earliest know writing symbols. These are engraved on the shoulder bones of large
animals and on tortoise shells. See examples on your book page 246
