PROCEDURE CODE
The Code of Civil Procedure provides the mechanism for recognition and enforcement of legal rights
and liabilities of litigating parties. While it applies mainly to the civil courts, portions of the code and
the principles enshrined in it are also applicable to other fora like Consumer Forums, Revenue
Courts, Arbitration, Debt Recovery Tribunal, etc. An understanding of the Code is quintessential to
the Indian Practice of Law.
