Master Optical Units - BTS Link

The BTS/Opti-link system is for large in-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) applications through optical fiber
that extends the range of a BTS or a BDA. The master optical unit (MOU) is connected to a single or multiple remote
optical units (ROU) through single mode optical fiber cable. The MOU receives RF signals from the BTS or BDA,
converts to optical signals and transmits it to the ROU. At the ROU, the optical signals are converted back to RF and
radiated after amplification. The signals between MOU & TOU are propagated as optical signals which enables the
system to support long cable runs with little or no loss and to achieve optimum antenna isolation for maximum RF
power transmission.

Remote Management System

Shyam Telecom's Repeater Management System (RMS) allows for remote monitoring, configuration and alarm
facilities of the system. In an environment that demands high availability and reliability of wireless voice/data
communications, RMS allows for active monitoring and alarming of the deployed system. First, a built-in modem
must be purchased for each repeater that will be managed by the system.. Second, a modem is required for the site
when the remote management will take place. The last step is to choose the software package that will support the
number of repeaters on the system.
