Do you like the ending?

I dislike the ending of the novel 'Moby Dick'. This is because all crews died
except Ishmael. It is a sad ending.

Although Captain Ahab got his deserve for being so insisted to take
revenge from Moby Dick, the white whale. However, he could not achieve
peace even he died. I prefer he learnt his lesson and learnt to forgive and forget.
He should have given up for revenge after the second battle. In my opinion, only
forgive and forget, one can get rid of misery and get happiness.

Moreover, I dislike because good and responsible persons perished in the

end. I would have preferred Queequeg to have survived the story. He was an
interesting and loyal person. Ishmael would not be alone in his future journey if
Queequeg could survive. I would have also preferred Starbuck and the other
crew members to survive and still have the Pequod to survive and make money.
They had made sacrifice because of the crazy Captain Ahab. In my opinion,
these hardworking and responsible crews should have a chance to survive.

It would have been nice to have a fairly happy ending for the crew. They
should have a boatload of oil that would allow them to earn money for
themselves and their families who were waiting for their safe return. That
would have been an ending befitting the crew. In my opinion, their efforts
should be paid off.

In conclusion, I dislike the ending because it is too sorrowful. It would seem

that these poor, innocent individuals did not get anything from the whole
terrible experience.
