school, an unavailable parent may be substituted by a duly
appointed legal guardian who must be at least twenty-one
(21) years old. The appointment of a guardian is recognized by
the school if:

 There is a signed written endorsement from the parent; or

Permanent Record

In lieu of parents or an appointed guardian, Article 216 of the
Family Code gives the following persons substitute parental
authority over the learner in the order indicated:

Prefect of Learner Formation
Formation Plan
Set of programs formulated by
either the PLF or the
Formation Committee to help
the learner develop the
necessary skills to
acknowledge the deviation and
learn from it.
1. Loss of Privilege
The permission granted by the school to use facilities,
technology and/or access information and sites are bound by
rules and regulations. When a learner fails to observe these,
the school reserves the right to temporarily withhold the
privilege of use.

i.e. Deviation from Proper Use of Technology & Social Media

Loss of internet access for Five (5) days

Deviation from Upkeep of an Orderly Environment

Prescription to only eat lunch at the canteen for two (2) days
2. Confiscation
Any school authority can confiscate an item from a learner if
possession, in the first place, is unauthorized and prohibited by
the school.

The only items to be confiscated:

pornographic materials, deadly weapons, and illegal substances
(i.e. cigarette and drugs).

Surrender all confiscated items to the PLF.

3. After Class Formation
In coordination with the Campus Ministry, learners recommended
to attend After Class Formation attend a 45-minute to 60-minute
modular program with the Campus Ministry.

The session is used to allow the learners to contemplate on the

consequence of his actions / decisions in the presence of a
Spiritual Formator.

Includes:
 Spiritual discussion / mentoring
 Service to church / chapel
4. Logical Consequence
Logical consequences are ways in which adults structure
learning opportunities for children. The goal of logical
consequences is to stop children's misbehavior and help them
make more constructive choices.

Logical consequence is not a solution for all types of

infraction. If there is no obvious consequence to an
infraction, it might not be the appropriate choice to
correct the behavior.
Examples of Logical Consequences

i.e. Deviation from Upkeep of an Orderly Environment (Littering)

Assignment to keep a specific area litter-free during recess

Deviation from Being Punctual

Assignment as morning attendance checker for three (3) days

Deviation from Being Honest (cheating)

Test retake

Related. Respectful. Reasonable

5. Mentoring / Counseling Referral
On occasions when a student’s infraction is associated to any
form of emotional or psychological stress, the PLF may
recommend the child to attend a mentoring or counseling
session with the assigned personnel from the Center for
Student-Wellbeing.

For extremely sensitive cases and/or for cases

repetitive infractions, the student maybe required
to complete external counseling.
6. Preventive Rest
Learners whose infractions warrant temporary absence from
the school because of potential harm or threat to self, others,
or the institution, may after due process be recommended to
undergo preventive rest. This entails a period of absence from
school to be supervised by his parent/guardian.

A learner placed on preventive rest will not be given

a demerit in attendance and may be allowed to take missed
assignments and tests upon reporting to school depending on
the nature of the formation.
7. Demerit from ECQ and/or MS
As a natural consequence, deviations from IBN may warrant a demerit
on the learner’s report card. It shall be the discretion of the PLF to
recommend in which area of Essential Character Quality (ECQ) and/or
Megaskill (MS) the deviation will be reflected.

8 Essential Character Qualities (ECQ) 7 Megaskills (MS)

Honesty Reflection Motivation Collaboration
Respect Responsibility Confidence Problem Solving
Gratitude Perseverance Initiative Creativity
Caring Prudence Focus
8. Reflection
To conclude every case / infraction, a student will be required
to complete a reflection signed and acknowledged by the
parent/guardian.

Includes AGE APPROPRIATE:

 Assessment of the infraction
 Lesson learned
 Commitment for improvement
9. Recommendation to Transfer
As an extreme and final solution,
recommendation to transfer
