"May is the fifth month of the year. Write a letter to the number five explaining why
five is important. Be serious or be funny. Either way, here's a high five to you for
being original." (250 words or less)
Response:

Five is great. It is an overpowering number and is typically used for a

range of options. In television shows such as Family Guy, The Simpsons,
Power Rangers, and many others, there are five main members. If a
character were to be excluded, it would be greatly uncomfortable, and we
would feel uncertain. Every member is crucial to team. The number is also
very simple to count with and can be used to easily estimate certain
groups. For example, five, ten, fifteen ... twenty million, seven hundred
forty-three thousand, nine hundred and five are all simple, clean, and
manageable numbers. Ranks are determined from zero to a multiple of
five. Five is one of the safe numbers and people tend to not avoid it unlike
some other digits. Cough cough seven cough cough. Even to the
anatomical structure of the human bodies and other animals consist of five
parts. Our hands have five fingers and our feet have five toes. We humans
also have five senses (taste, hearing, sight, smell, touch). This significant
prime number has been used in several phrases such as “Just five more
minutes” and “high five.” Sometimes it is even called as the middle man.
An indispensable number that is not too large and not too small. A perfect
number in a way. It might not be everyone’s favorite number, but as it has
proven to be incredibly valuable to many will continue to be valuable for
years to come.
