Operation and control philosophy Watering System

The irrigation system has automatic and manual control equipment, it has a
controller RainBird Model ESP-LXD and a control panel (Control-Power) manual
action located in the pump room, the latter is provided with selectors (1 ) (Check
plane PUMP ROOM 28 02 17), when the automatic mode is selected the controller
is the one who has the main command over the control elements activating the main
Decoders that are located in the Control-Force board, all this depends on the
programming of the RainBird Model ESP-LXD (Revise Plan Floor Irrigation
System of Bora Bora), the decoders are activated and deactivated depending on
the Irrigation zone, each irrigation zone is provided with solenoid valves,
communication is achieved through a loop closed (Loop), this loop can be observed
in the HDG-1290-PL-01 plane.

Automatic mode

The automatic mode depends strictly on the RainBird Controller Model ESP-LXD,
however, when the reserve tank does not have water or a considerable level (-SL1)
the circuit is opened without operating the same causing the Relay 1 coil to be
energized later its closed normal song 1-3 opens, leaving the control in general
without power (Review Plane 2 T-CBR).

The decoder 22274 is in charge of receiving the RainBird Controller activation signal
causing it to activate the Motor-Pump 1 assembly for the areas that are more
demanding in terms of pressure, while the decoder 22277 performs the same activity
for areas of irrigation with less demand which activates the conunto Motor-Pump 2.
The decoders are recognized in the controller as Main Valves (Mains Valves),
according to the location and the time of irrigation that is desired in each area these

main valves activate the valves that are in the zones during the time set by the
programmer (Review Plane HDG-1290-PL-01).

Manual mode

It complies with the safety parameters of the automatic mode, that is, when the tank
is empty the switch (-LS1) energizes the coil by opening the closed normal contact
1-3 to protect the equipment, there is a direct connection between the selector, relay
1 and thermal relay 95-96, this connection energizes the coils of the contactors for
a Star-Delta start, "however the watering will not be carried out since the coils of
each solenoid valve are not being excited by the corresponding decoder by irrigation
area ".

Electric Box Auxiliary Pump

In the pump room there is an electric power box for the auxiliary pump (As Built 3 T-
FCBA), this set is integrated by; Two (2) hydropack tanks, pressure switch, solenoid
valve and motor-pump (check the PUMP ROOM 28 02 17), the control of this pump
depends on the action of Relay 1 of the Control-Watering Landscaping control panel
(See Plan 1 T-FCBR), that is, if the tank does not have water or a low level the
auxiliary pump does not work, together with it there is a control of the solenoid valve
(-SV) by Digital Time Clock (DTS) that generates the drive or deactivation of the
valve when the tank is empty because when this occurs the line loses pressure
making the hydro pneumatic decompensate. The pressurization action of the
hydropacks is calibrated by the pressure switch (See As-Built Plan 3 T-FCBA)
between 3 and 4 Bar, that is, when the line has a pressure lower than 3 Bar the
pressure switch contact closes and the pump starts to work to achieve the line
pressure required by the system, when it is in 4 bar, the compensation of the
hydropack tanks is made so that the equipment and hydraulic elements do not
present problems due to water hammer as well as to maintain adequate pressure in

the discharge of the pumps, in this way the requirement of the equipment is lower,
reducing damage and excessive consumption by Joule effect on the engines and
drivers.

RainBird ESP-LXD controller

Within the elements that make up the Irrigation system, the controller is the one who
dictates the general control over the force and local control system in the landscape
pumping chamber since without the communication of the decoders it is not possible
to perform irrigation in the zones , according to the programming that we assign to
it, we will have faculties over the valves installed in the field, it is worth noting that a
review of the elements must be carried out at the software level since it must be
guaranteed that there is no short circuit, it is of vital importance to carry out Periodic
tests by stations at random, the controller has a fault analysis system immersed in
its software which can be checked weekly.
