I've exchanged messages with the Irish CP
Irish CP wasn't too keen on the NE, however, Irish Community was very keen
after Greece invited them to participate so he proposed the NE.
They plan to go for Northern Ireland, by that time Greece will take the other
regions so the war will close.
If we reach an agreement with Greece and Greece release our regions the
Irish CP doesn't intend to hang onto Northern Ireland and would release it. Or
we can take it back earlier, as it'll be easier for us to take back Northern
Ireland from Ireland than from Greece. He also suggests after all from UK's
viewpoint it's not much difference Northern Ireland is held by Greece or at

Irish CP suggests he'd not blame the UK for later retaliation due to this NE

I'm more concerned over the Grecian dip than I am the Irish potato. We should
have thrown them out when that TW sublet nonsense took hold.

That was part of the agreement and up until the end of that the Greeks had
been fine. They claimed there was a bug when attacking out of Wales, which
given its grey hue there is something awry there, and they had ticketed
admins numerous times in regard to it.
The issue we really suffered from was Lithuania and their lack of damage put
into the MPPs. We offered them a peace settlement to put an end to the farce
but they didn't want to leave if Greece were still here...well until Greece
attacked them and didn't give them a choice that is.
Looking forward, like way forward, perhaps we should reset all of our TW and
foreign policy and reassess.

needed.

I'd say the short term plan is to sit tight and wait for the next CP election. From
what I gather the Greeks don't seem to be interested in negotiating with
current CP's cabinet, but maybe they will be interested in negotiating with the
new CP. Based on current candidates it seems like Huey is most likely to win
the elections. Huey's quite diplomatic so if the Greeks are interested in settling
this peacefully, we got a good chance to do that with Huey as CP.
Of course, the Greeks might not be interested in settling this peacefully and
likely just want to take our regions for as long as they can. When this
happened before, what saved us was an active CP who gathered our tanks
and allies and timed the liberation when the occupying country was distracted.
I imagine this case will be the same.
Overall, I don't think we can do much other than sit tight and keep our fingers
crossed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's not the difference between a Dictatorship and a Democracy you portray

A UKsF led democracy would not lead to the same outcome as a UKsF
dictatorship...
The main difference is that under dictatorship UKsF could do what needed to
be done with the requirement being to write an article explaining why a
decision was made.
Under a UKsF lead democracy then you'd have the likes of Keith and the TUP
voting against anything he proposed on general principle and there would be
the usual partisan games that it could be argued stiffles Congress at the best
of times.
The problem with Congress is that it talks a lot without really saying anything.
A dictatorship under UKsF worked because you had someone who knew what
they were doing and was active enough to do it. Under democracy, we have
historically elected too many SHA types who get the CP medal and then
disappears. Has anyone seen our glorious leader since Greece has decided
not to honour the agreements?

We had over 100 articles during my 'term' - I was counting them and the
current marks were noted in my articles of which I produced about 25 in total.
I think you re-appeared during the MIK-in-exile period when we stopped

producing to give democracy the space to make their case but we were going
at 5 or 6 articles a day in the first couple of weeks!
Discord was happening on 2 channels the UK and Tavern one and it was
slightly more then 5 people (but not much) aside from when we had the LoA
event when we had more people popping in for supplies.
Mass PM threads might be annoying and only garner a few responses but I'd
rather have those few responses asking questions, wanting guidance and
advice then not have them at all.

same breath say, you wish you knew what the state of the economy was?
RL works even with balanced do-everythingness because the consequences

matter. If a budget isn't approved streets are dirty, people don't get paid,
politicians lose jobs, etc.
Here no consequences exist apart from the shitty milieu of meh, and everyone
can close the toilet door and ignore the aerosolized (spell correct wanted
casseroled) remnants of yesterdays dinner.
Unless we actually have something to fight against, other than an ideal that's
only applicable in RL - Dumbocracy, why not go with the thing that's working. I
didn't see anyone complain about what he was doing, only that he had the
temerity to get results.

I came back at the end of Jamesw's last term, so I was there. I believe we've
come to an impasse over the number of articles as you say you counted and I
don't remember 5-6 articles a day on any day.
You were a decent CP/ruler, but don't pretend it made the eUK or the game
interesting and active.
Besides, seeing as half the active player base is in congress, why remove the
buttons that encourage them to keep logging in? If we were in a permanent
dictatorship then most are stuck with no say and doing nothing, so they quit or
leave. Not fun at all, doesn't encourage activity.
Also, tavern discord? Maybe that really was active as I don't seem to be in it.
