INTRODUCTION
About Project:
The objective of the system is to develop a system which provides the details of government
schemes and beneficiaries. The purpose is to design a system which automates the processes
involved and allows users to perform various operations.

This makes it easy to search for the desired information. Users and public can access the system
to get the information and also apply online for the proposed schemes. The system allows
coordination among all concerned departments and officials. The system also allows the regular
monitoring and modification of information.

Research Gap:
In the present system, the people are not fully aware of the various government policies.They
are not able to directly link with the government policies and thus are not able to benefit from
them. Various government policies which are very beneficial for the people are not able to
reach directly to the people. Thus we aim to develop a system so as to build an efficient
communication channel between the government and the people where the people can
understand and easily link with the various beneficial government policies.

Statement About The Problem:

To build a scheme Gazetteer System using JAVA.

WHY IS THIS TOPIC CHOSEN?

In the present scenario, various government schemes are published in print media and
advertised by the respective departments. It is often difficult for people to get the relevant
information and approach the officials for availing the services. Thus we have chosen this topic
so that we can develop a system where in the people can get to know about the scheme
properly, benefit from them and thus the purpose of schemes is fully achieved.

Scope and Objective of the project:

The project is a web based application, which maintains a centralized repository of all scheme
related information. The people can access the system to get the desired information about the
various scheme and also apply online for the proposed schemes.

Methodology:
To provide flexibility to the users, the interfaces shall be developed that are accessible through
a browser. The GUI’S at the top level have been categorized as the following:-

1> Administrative User Interface: It concentrates on the consistent information that is

practically part of the organizational activities and which needs proper authentication
for the data collection. These interfaces help the administrators with all the
transactional states like Data insertion, Data deletion, Data updation along with the
extensive data search capabilities.
2> Operational or generic user interface: It helps the users of the system in transaction
through the existing data and required services. The operational user interface also have
the ordinary users in managing their own information in a customized manner as per
the included flexibility.

After careful analysis the system has been identified to have the following modules:

1> Administrative module: The module provides the schemes proposed by the
government.
2> User Module: This module provides user related functionalities a user can view the
details of all the schemes, check eligibility and also apply online for the scheme.

Contribution of the project:

The project aims at developing a system which helps people to connect with the government
agencies and the various beneficial schemes introduced by the government. Through this
system, the various schemes shall not just remain in files and papers but shall reach the people
directly. The schemes introduced by the government are very useful but people are not able to
understand its usefulness. So the contribution of this project shall be to educate the people
about the schemes so that they can understand the benefits and thus apply for it easily.
