QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education : Master’s degree or Certificate in Leadership and


Management from the Civil Service Commission (CSC)

Training : 120 hours training, 40 hours of which should involve


specialized training relevant to the job and 80 hours
management training taken within the last five (5) years
reckoned from the date of assessment

Experience : Seven (7) years relevant experience, five (5) years of


which should involve supervision in similar position or
with similar responsibility

Eligibility : Career Service Professional/Second Level eligibility

Basic Function : The Officer IV position involves exercise of management


function such as planning, organizing, directing and
coordinating the activities of the Database Administration
(DA), which requires application of managerial and
supervisory skills and some degree of
professional/technical knowledge and experience. The
Officer IV shall be accountable for the performance of the
department and shall be responsible for the adoption of
the department plans and programs that addresses
resources and operational challenges.

The Officer IV shall make decisions based on established


policies, procedures and/or guidance from the Officer V
and shall provide advice on related policies and
procedures to employees, colleagues and/or customers
of DA.

Competencies : Must have good leadership skills; adept in business


operations; proficient in database design and

management, IT procurement and asset management,
project and risk management; familiar with strategic
planning.

Competencies : Must have very good oral and written communication


skills; proficient in database design and management,
and IT procurement and asset management; adept in
infrastructure/platforms and project management.

Recovery Plan.

security/information and application protection.
