The diagram depicts different steps of how rain water is collected and reused domestically.

On first step, rain water is stored in a tank and then directly it is consumed for different purposes
around a house. On second step, rain water is collected behind a dam, following this it is piped to water
treatment plant to be purified and used as drinking water. Third step is a cycle of reusing house hold
wastewater. In this cycle, first, house hold wastewater is piped to waste water treatment plant then it’s
recycled and stored in tank to be consumed domestically. Meanwhile extra treated water is flowed in to
stream.

In contrast to first step which it has short process and it doesn’t have special expenses, and second step
that just supplies clean water, third step is longer process, and might cost a lot, however it helps to save
water more than to previous steps.

In general harvesting rain water and using it for domestic purposes or purifying and reusing wastewater
can be an ecofriendly activity and helps us save water more and more.
