My virtue, adaptability

to a context that
demands design
solutions to diverse
challenges.
A constant demand
of versatility.
It is a great pleasure to present this portfolio that I specially develop with the purpose of
show you some work samples that makes me feel proud. The subsequently mentioned
projects were selected to represent my practice, strongly influenced by a methodical design
process.
I'm sure you'll appreciate the content and will notice through this short trail a coarse
summary of my capacities, approaches and consistency in my brief career as architect and
designer.
Contribution to the project: Concept, architectonic and bioclimatic design for a single
family dwelling in which was taken into account the family social behavior and dynamics
through a series of strategies. For the architectonic design some climatic analyzes were
made in order to propose a comfortable architecture where it is not necessary to use
artificial cooling systems due to the correct use wind, besides the efficient use of sun for
natural lighting. The Mass orientation and form, materials and colors help to keep a low
thermal inertia on the house.
Type of Project: Independent Project
Status: Ongoing
Client: Miguel y Norma Cruz
Date: December 2017 – Julio 2018
Place: Ibagué, Colombia.
Description: Concept, architectonic, bioclimatic and urban design of a 10 hectares Logistic park. The main concept lies on
possibility of of different companies to work cooperatively in order to reach high economic, social and environmental
revenue. We found the analogy of this type of behavior on migratory birds and its V formation fly and its ability to cross
long distances. Besides the urban design we were commissioned to develop 3 of the main buildings which were:
- Proandina Main Distribution Warehouse 5650mt2
- Logica Group Headquarters 1320mt2
- Strategik Administrative Building 1210mt2
Type of Project: Group Project
Position: Main Architect
Status: Constructed

Description: Concept, architectonic, bioclimatic design of a 5650mt2 distribution warehouse. The
project had 2 main objective, the first one was keep the budget on lower without compromise the
concept design on the other hand, the energy efficiency requirement were very demanding
because the main product at the interior is packed food, which requires stable temperatures and
were the challenge was keep that without artificial climate systems.
Type of Project: Group Project
Position: Main Architect
Status: Constructed
Client: Jose A. Sierra and Andres Sierra
Date: April 2015 – March 2016
Place: Ibagué, Colombia.
The façade design besides the
aesthetic and communication
function, was develop to work
as an air inlet with a geometry
that captures natural cool air
and inject it under pressure,
lowering the temperature,
naturally reducing the interior
heat and raising the quality of
indoor environment, helped by
thermal insulation materials.
Description: Concept, architectonic, bioclimatic design of a 1320mt2 Office compound in which were going to operate
3 companies, Proandina, Servinaltra and Logica. The architecture was develop in order to keep 3 different type of
work dynamics in the same building but separated from each other. The next challenge was to keep around 80
persons on optimal climate comfort conditions without using air conditioned systems, only with passive cooling
strategies in a climate that goes around 26ºc to 35ºc all year and with a humidity of 60% to 90%. The objective
pursued was achieved using low thermal inertia material, an optimal massing orientation, sun shading on critical areas
and proper natural ventilation helped by the use of Venturi and Bernoulli Effects.

Description: Concept, architectonic and bioclimatic design for a single family dwelling, this house was develop following
clients instruction in reference of simplicity and a strict budget monitoring. In other hand we decided to make a complete
user analysis of the family, finding important behaviors that we successfully incorporate to the. For the architectonic
design some climatic analyzes were made in order to propose a comfortable architecture where it is not necessary to
use artificial cooling systems due to the correct use of wind, besides the efficient use of sun for natural lighting. The Mass
orientation and form, materials and colors help to keep a low thermal inertia on the house.

Description: Concept, architectonic, bioclimatic design of a 550mt2
Due to the high temperature of the site,
the house massing was calculated in order
to keep shutted to the sun and receive
natural illumination by reflection, in this
manner avoid the energy transfer in the
house interiors.

Description: Design, coordination and manufacturing of a Furniture collection, made entirely by
CNC processes, the aim of the project was to optimize the amount of material due to economic
aspects, on the other hand the piece of furniture had to be iconic and symbolic while it can resist
aggressive use and even vandalism. All the pieces were made by CNC Plasma process.
The complexity of the shape required an static stress simulation which led us process different
prototypes and test the one with the best performance. .

Description: Design, coordination and manufacturing of a sweeper machine for streets, this tool works without any
type of fuel or energy and is produced from recycled aluminum and polypropylene. This project was a constant
research and development in which we had to develop many technologies that wasn’t available at the moment for us.
In the process to get the final product we design other 4 different models were the main objective was to
reduce the weight and efficiency, having a 105kg weight for the first machine, managing to reduce it to 18kg
on the final model.
The guiding idea for this project was to reduce the carbon dioxide emitted by the noisy and pollutant
mechanical
. street sweeper machines while they humanize the labor of the operators that made this job.
The reason to made a custom machine is the inexistent options of industrial machines, for uses of more
than 12 or 14 hours per day, the commercial options guide us to light use sweepers that when we
tried they were not able to recollect the big pieces of debris founded on the street such as plastic
bottles and wet heaps of leaves, besides they only operate in good conditions for few weeks.
