Medical research has contributed to millions of lives.

People live longer and healthier than ever

before. The discoveries of antibiotics, vaccines, organ transplants are just some example of many
breakthroughs. This is why the words of 'pushing the frontiers of knowledge' has been always
excites and motivates me to be involve in new discovery in science. While being a clinician has
given me access to save patients live through cure and care, the capacity of researcher to save
lives is limitless.

I would love to pursue higher education in research especially related to immunology, due to its
potential to be one of the most promising avenues for the future of medicine. I am confident that
with a knowledge gained through this program, I will be exposed to new possibilities in treating
diseases. Furthermore, an essential matter that is worth to catch in this program is to get
influenced by professional work ethic in Uppsala University, and spread the influence to others.
Since my experience in research is still limited, my interest about it is experiencing a surge. I am
ready to construct new perception about research. Later on, I intend to implement the
enthusiasm in research and encourage young doctors to get early exposure to research field. I
hope there will be a paradigm shift where future physicians should be accustomed to research.

As research and technical skills are required to execute this project, I believe that I have broad-
based knowledge of medical science that fits the criteria including basic biomedical science.
Moreover, the experience that I gained working in Genetic Research Team has been enrich my
scientific career and given me opportunity in facing technical challenges and improve my ability
to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to scientific problems. My previous research
experiences which also related to immune status in Thalassemia patient, have also deepened my
ability in laboratory work, evaluating the scientific literature, integrate new information in the
field into the existing knowledge base, and identify gaps that are ripe for new investigation.

In the end, considering my experience and interest, I believe that this program will benefit a lot
from my presence. This program to me is more than an insight work-up about certain topics, but
it is a real-time viewpoint improvement. This program will really mean a lot for my professional
aspiration.
