Proposal
Al Sohab Music Video

Al-Sohab is a song sung by Zap Tahrwat ft. Hamza Namira. Two artists/singers who
youth admire due to their choice of words in all their previous songs. They are 2 singers
whom youth really relate to their songs because most of them are realities that Egyptian
youth go through every single day in their normal lives. Al-Sohab means ‘Friends’ and that is
what the whole song is about. We chose this song to emphasize on the importance role of
friends in our lives, and that no matter where life takes you, you will always need your
friends by your side, especially during times in need. The music video will highlight some
memories between friends from primary stages till they graduate University and will portray
a situation where one of the friends struggles with his dad’s illness and he calls one of his old
friends and they all gathered to stand by him during the time he needs them the most.
Scenes are to be shot at different locations such as, school, garden/park, house’ salon
car, building, and the streets of course. We carefully decided on these locations to match the
verses of the song and to give a meaning to what the song really means. Basically these
locations were chosen to compliment the beautifully written words of the song.
The song has a happy ending in which all actors (friends) will be gathered together
after years apart and each in his own direction and this gives off a very happy vibe. As
portrayed in the story board, the ending scene with the last few words/verse of the song is a
lesson learned to each and every group of friends.
