I have recently bought a TP-Link TD-W8961ND modem/router for the

replacement of my old modem. It took me hours to get the configuration right
for the streamyx connection, and I hope the sharing below could save you from
running into the same problems that I did previously.

1. Login to your TP-Link admin page at http://192.168.1.1

2. Click on the Quick Start menu to start the configuration wizard.

3. Click on the RUN WIZARD button to start the configuration wizard.

4. Click on the NEXT button.

5. Select your time zone and click on the NEXT button.

6. Select PPPoE/PPPoA and click on the NEXT button.

7. Enter your streamyx connection information. The username shall be xxxx@streamyx (ended with @streamyx), the
VPI must set to 0 and the VCI must set to 35.

8. Click on the NEXT button to continue.

9. Set up your Wireless settings.

10. Your are done, and now you should have your streamyx connection ready for your internet browsing.

NOTE: After setting up your streamyx connection, if you encountered frequent disconnect & reconnect activity on the
streamyx connection, you may try the below configuration. I found it works for my 4MBs connection, and hope it will
also works for you.

1. Click on the Advanced Setup and followed by ADSL menu.

2. Set the ADSL Mode to ADSL2+, uncheck the Bitswap Enable and SRA Enable option.

3. Reboot the modem/router.
