Directions: Locust Hill Farm is located on the west
side of Zulla Rd (Rt. 709) approximately 2 miles
south of Rt. 50 in Middleburg. From Warrenton take
Rt. 17N to Belvoir Rd.(Rt.. 709) (becomes Zulla Rd. at Rt. 55). Continue
North on Zulla Rd. approximately 5.5 miles to farm entrance on the left.

Visit Beautiful Locust Hill Farm just outside Middleburg. The farm is
just over 1000 acres and is a diverse operation. In addition to raising
registered Angus and Hereford cattle, commercial replacement heifers
and steers for beef, the farm also grows a variety of crops including corn,
soybeans, wheat, barley and rye and produces high quality hay and
silage. Locust Hill is also involved in all aspects of the horse industry.
Originally, the farm was solely a thoroughbred racing and breeding
operation in the United States and Europe and has enjoyed much
success in flat racing and steeplechase. The Farm is home to the Orange
County Point to Point Races each spring. Since Michael took over
management of the farm, the operation has expanded to include a herd
of approximately 140 Angus, Hereford and commercial cows, and
produces quality replacement cattle as well as high quality beef. Crops
were also added, and many different conservation practices have been
implemented on the farm to help improve water and soil quality. Come
see cattle near the hay barn and take a hay ride through the farm with
the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District to learn about
some of the practices that Locust Hill uses. The Fauquier County 4-H
Livestock Club will be cooking hamburgers as a fundraiser.

in the stunning Crooked Run Historic Agricultural Valley of Fauquier
County, VA, just minutes from first class vineyards, historic battlefield

breeds and Green Pastured™ crosses for both consumption and breed

The store will be open for purchases from our farm and neighboring
farms throughout the day. 2019 box subscriptions (monthly/quarterly/
biannually) for beef, lamb, pork will be available. For history buffs, our
small pre-civil war cemetery will be open for respectful viewing and
research. Photo ops with our Mater farm truck, livestock and farm
equipment are all possible and encouraged. Children must, however, be
supervised at all times. Due to our biosecurity livestock requirements we
respectfully request no pets. Final schedule may change day of event.
