will also be a movement audition, so please dress appropriately; bring jazz shoes and -- if auditioning
for a featured dancer role -- bring tap shoes. You may also be asked to read from the script. Cast
members do not have to be the actual ages of the characters, but must be able to look age-
appropriate, and act accordingly. Please DO NOT SING ANYTHING FROM THE SHOW.
Plot Summary:
Like so many girls her age, young Dorothy Gale dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day, a
twister hits her farm and carries her away to another world… Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the
Tin Man, the Lion, and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination! This stage
adaptation includes all the beloved songs from the classic 1939 MGM movie musical, including
"Munchkin land (Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead)," "If I Only Had A Brain," "If I Only Had A Heart," "If I
Only Had The Nerve," "We're Off to See The Wizard (Follow the Yellow Brick Road),” "The Merry Old
Land of Oz," and – of course – “Over the Rainbow.” ~RATED G
