Intelligence (SAP MII) that provides bidirectional connectivity with a manufacturing automation
control system such as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), distributed
control system (DCS), or Plant Data
Since it uses standard communications interfaces, SAP PCo features high flexibility and
can be configured quickly and easily. PCo is based on Microsoft .NET Framework and
uses web service technology.
SAP PCo is configured using the client application "Plant Connectivity Management
Console“.

Target System
The target system describes the system to which information is to be sent by PCo. The
following target systems are capable of receiving data:
Notifications
SAP PCo provides notification functions with which the data source elements or tags
can be monitored for changes. According to the configured triggers, corresponding
messages are initiated and the required tags are sent to the defined target
systems. The notification functions supplement the functions of the components of the
SAP MII Universal Data Server (UDS).

I believe SAP Leonardo is going to be the most happening technology from SAP. Its just
incredible.
SAP Leonardo is the worlds only digital innovation system, which combines Design
Thinking services, Machine learning, Big Data, IOT, Data Intelligence, Block Chain and
Analytics to run the enterprise smarter, smoother and completely digital.
The world is transforming digital day to day. By combining all these technologies SAP
Leonardo is going make any Enterprise of any industry run completely digital and
powerful without any hassles.
I feel like getting down from a Bullet train and getting on to Hyperloop-One.

Benefits
Use SAP Plant Connectivity to retrieve data from sensors on the production floor and to process it into useful
information in SAP ME and SAP ERP. This comes directly from the machines, the PLCs and/or SCADA.
PCo can be quickly configured. No customization is needed to connect source systems to the Shop Floor
PCo can communicate with a large number of software systems in the workplace.
PCo system can be configured for one or more locations.

This optional integrated business scenario, SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo), describes the configuration and setup of
the OPC Server, KepServerEX5, and SAP PCo. The OPC Server is the common piece of software that
communicates with all the shop floor equipment. PCo collects data from the OPC Server, based on trigger events in
the equipment’s controls, and then sends this data to SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) to be viewed in the Data
Machine integration through PCo into SAP ME enables real-time data to be displayed in SAP ME from the plant
floor. PCo provides notification capabilities, which allow you to monitor data source items or tags for changes. You
can also perform expression-based evaluations (If OvenRecipeName==White and OvenProfile==1 THEN (on true,
collect OvenTemp data)) before mapping the data into a standard message format that is delivered to ME.
