Key capabilities

▪ Data preparation: Empower business users to quickly and easily improve the value and usefulness
of data for analytics. Users can easily and quickly transform data with built-in data profiling, data
cleansing, data blending, and data enrichment capabilities for the best data curation possible. The
interactive and Microsoft Excel–like interface provides users them with one-click fixes and suggestion
lists as a way to guide them through data preparation workflows. Above all, the application provides
for a collaborative experience allowing users to share and export prepared data sets for a variety of
analytics purposes.

▪ Data quality: Provide LoBs a way to quickly assess and understand data sets and provide best
practices workflows for IT to operationalize to improve business efficiency. Data stewards can easily
view original data sets to discover errors or other problem before IT migrates the data to the target
source. Users can mash up data coming from multiple repositories and quickly undo any workflow
action they create for continuous refinement. When the data set is prepared, users perform a one-
click export to an SAP HANA table or SAP HANA calculation view for IT to then execute.

▪ Governance and collaboration: Build trust in the data and ensure data asset reusability to improve
process efficiency or gain better business insights. Users can assess the quality of enterprise data sets
and promote data sets that are approved by governance for reuse. The application grants authorized
users to be data curators with a full range of data blending and wrangling capabilities to build trusted
data lakes. All the while, IT has the ability to monitor and track data usage and apply policies and rules
to protect sensitive data.

SAP Agile Data Preparation for SAP Data Hub

▪ SAP Agile Data Preparation will offer business users and data stewards a self-service and agile solution to
access, assess, blend, and curate the data that is accessible and monitored through SAP Data Hub.
▪ SAP Agile Data Preparation offers interoperability with SAP Data Hub, product componentization and
embedding with SAP Data Hub, and integration of the data transformation capabilities as part of SAP Data
Hub native capabilities.

Machine learning for easier and faster data preparation using SAP Agile Data Preparation
▪ Integration of machine learning capabilities to offer seamless workflows to business users and data stewards.
Examples: data set suggestions, next best action, automated data curation, and smart sampling.
▪ Integration of machine learning capabilities to offer more advanced data profiles so users can better
