Learning Competencies: Compare and contrast the nuances of varied online platforms, sites, and
content to best achieve specific class objectives or address situational challenges
Content: Information and Communication Technology covering the topics of:
1. The current state of ICT technologies (i.e., Web 2.0, 3.0, convergent technologies, social,
mobile, and assistive media)

Learning Resources: Books, CG, Power point, internet.

Procedures:
A. Preparation
Motivation: Using the concept map, write on the board the words that are related to ICT.

B. Presentation of the Lesson:


Introduce and Discuss on Information and Communication Technology, Web 1.0, Web 2.0,
Web 3.0, trends in ICT, convergent technologies, social, mobile, and assistive media.

C. Comparison/Abstraction:
Compare and contrast web 2.0 to 3.0?
D. Generalization:
Ask the following Questions
1. What is Web 1.0
2. What is Web 2.0
3. What is Web 3.0
4. Enumerate the Six Types of Social Media
5. Enumerate the different trends in ICT

E. Valuing:
Give the importance of ICT in our daily lives.

F. Application:
In a whole sheet of paper. Identify the correct web platform for Social Change.
1. Identify a problem in your community (e.g., littering, garbage disposal, blocked drainage, etc.)
2. Imagine that you are going to create a website to persuade both community leaders and
members to solve this problem.
3. Fill up the given form. (refer to the presentation)
4. Present it to the class

G. Evaluation:
Using the given Table (Static and Dynamic), Think for 10 websites and classify them as static or
dynamic. What makes each website static or dynamic.

H. Assignment:
Do exercises on Page 6 of E-Tech by ITWI, “ICT, Me and My Community”
