Unit Summary

Creating flavors for mobile devices

Once you have gathered the key user requirements for your mobile app, you are now
ready to build it. While SAP Screen Personas flavors can be displayed on both desktop
and mobile devices, flavors can only be built in the SAP Screen Personas Editor on the
desktop.

There are a variety of SAP Screen Personas features that can help you create
consistent and professional-looking flavors.

1. Snap to grid assists with the alignment of screen elements, allowing you to drag
them in specific increments. It can be found in the Design tab in the Flavor
Editor.
2. Helper Lines also help with alignment, allowing you to line up screen elements
relative to others. They can be turned on in the Design tab in the Flavor Editor.
3. Templates allow you to create a consistent layout across your screens to give
them a consistent look and feel. They also speed up flavor creation, as you do
not have to design every screen from scratch. They can be created, inserted,
and edited from the Templates tab in the Flavor Editor. You can also download
premade templates in the SAP Screen Personas Flavor Gallery.
4. Themes allow you to apply the same style treatment to screen elements,
ensuring that they are consistent across all screens. They can be selected and
created from the Themes button in the Flavor Bar.
Testing Flavors with Device Preview

Once you have finished building the flavors for your mobile app, you can see how they
will look on your mobile device using the Device Preview feature. It allows you to view
your flavors in both landscape and portrait mode. When using the SAP Screen
Personas Editor in the Slipstream Engine, you can find it in the Release tab.

Device Preview allows you to select from a variety of common mobile devices. If your
device is not listed, you can also create a custom device in the Device Preview window.
You can then save this custom device for later use.
If the preview of your flavor looks correct across all of the required devices, it’s time to
test it on the actual device.
