Syllabus in Health and Self-Testing Activities

I. VISION – MISSION

VISION

The school., envision its students to be technically skilled, intellectually proficient, socially aware and endeavoring to transform the society in
response the signs of times

MISSION

We commit ourselves to:


 Provide quality Education through continuous upgrading of programs and services;
 Develop and equip students with sufficient intellectual and occupational skills to meet the demands of a globally changing environment;
 Respect the dignity of the person especially the poor;
 Design and enhance curricular offerings with lifelong learning skills essential in responding to industry needs and better quality of life for our
graduate; and
Promote and strengthen our Filipino culture and values.

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to expose the students in many Physical Activities, through this variety of fitness skills, one wil be more knowledgeable as to process of
continued fitness throughout one’s lifetime. It is also intended to introduce the students to the method of procedure for teaching fitness, nutritional health and
general wellness principles. Students will complete as assessment measuring aerobic fitness, strength, flexibility and nutrition.

III. COURSE OBJECTIVES


At the end of the semester, the students must have to:

 Develop a positive attitude towards physical activity,


 Conduct oneself in socially acceptable ways,
 Develop physical fitness and learn a variety of sports for recreation,
 Acquire knowledge on how to become fit,
 Develop skills and competence and apply an understanding of rules skills and strategies of various activities,
 Execute the different body conditioning set of excercises suggested for fitness development,
 Create an effective exercise routines using the elements of choreography, and
 Acquire and practice desirable social traits necessary for adjustments to happy living and to social in general.

IV. COURSE POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

This course will use varied teaching strategies such as lecture, discussion, demonstrations, actual activity, discovery learning, and group dynamics. The students
should be able to actively participate to all the tasks given to them for their learning, experience and apply the techniques in all the learning in the future.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

All students are expected to practice academic integrity. Any attempt of the student to present/ submit as his/her own work he/she has not produced is
regarded as serious offense. The students who are enrolled in this course should observe the following policy “Cheating is strictly prohibited during the quizzes
and examination.” If caught, school administration will impose impulsion from the school and automatically students will get a failing grade.

ATTENDANCE
Attendance must be highly observed for all students who are enrolled in this course. If possible avoid absences and tardiness as much as possible. Each session is
very important to the student learning. The allowable unexcused absences of the students is 11 absences and that makes twenty percent (20 %) of the total
number of class hours in a given semester as per CHED regulations, fifteen (15) minutes late are equivalent to one (1) absent. Early dismissal of the students
before the time is considered as absent.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

Students should have an official seating and grouping arrangement, the use of electronic gadgets such as cellphone, play station and any gaming
materials while a class is going on is strictly prohibited.
