I. Describe the Class: The class level is the 2nd grade, there are about 35 students in the
classroom. There are five students are learning disabled, 15 students who are gifted
II. Subject/Skill: The subject is math and the skill are adding with decimals. How to add
with ones, tens, tenths, hundredths, and thousandths. To practice how to round.
III. Objectives: What students will do first is have a practice on how to add decimals and
students will take notes. For conditions on how students will do this activity is work
in small groups. If it was independent work, students will work alone. Use picture to
understand it more visual and get the idea. The criteria of minimum recent to
demonstrate of the mastery-use numbers is to calculate the whole average of the class
on a test.
1) Students will learn how to add decimals and learn how to round. Students will learn how to
count ones, tens, tenths, hundredths, hundreds, thousandths, and thousands. I will teach the
lecture from the notes I have taken. So, I would write them on the board for students. Have
examples and visual pictures, anything that can help students learn in this concept. Term

definitions would be to understand what addition is, rounding, and a place holder. The concept
2) Review Prerequisites: Students should have already learned from the previous grade level is
how to add to be successful in this lesson. Review of definitions of terms would be addition as a
refresh to remember. So, I will teach students definitions about the subject for students to stay on
track. The purpose of this topic would be for students learn how add decimals and to learn how
to round.
3) Modeling: How I will like to teach this lesson is to first explain and give a brief information
about this topic. I will make my own notes and use those notes to teach students and show students
educational videos or games, but mainly videos. Tests will help demonstrate on what students are
struggle on and after the test, I will give students correct feedback.
4) Conducting Learning: I will assign students in small groups like two-four groups. To work
together in a group activity. This can help students to engage with others ask questions and work
together.
worksheet to work in the classroom and for me to check. I do not want students to feel that is too
much assignments. I will check everyone’s worksheet to see if they need help or to ask students
V. Materials: Materials needed for the lesson are a notebook, pencil, a template, or a
guided note to help students to follow long during the lecture. I will create this for
students. I will tell students the type of materials that they need and a text book to
follow along.

VI. Grouping Structures: For grouping structures, I will probably have students in a
group activity that they engage with and work together as group. I will prefer students
VII. Modifications: For ELL students I would give them through and explain anything that
are not sure. Maybe have an ELL teacher in the classroom for extra help. Usually
think this what I would do for learning disabled students. I would help students learn
the concept to each them everything that they need to know. Gifted learners they are
usually in advance, for gifted learners can help their classmates. This can help
VIII. Assessment: I will know if students have met the objectives is by giving students test
and this would help to determine what students needs help and what I can as a teacher
help students to not make this mistake again. Give students correct feedback will be
helpful. The concept of the lesson was for students to understand how to add decimals
and learn how to round. Maybe as a teacher make new changes or improve teaching
skills.
Distributed Practice and Review: I will plan to assign homework to help students to
understand the topic. To increase the chances that students will remember what they
learned and apply it in different circumstance; to tell students that is something that

you will need to know. It can come in handy, when you shop at store and adding the
total of how much you are going to spend. In advance classes of math and working
with money, doing the math on how much you are spending.
Objectives
1) Assign: I will give students directions, to comprehend this topic. I will help
students with their behavior if they are struggle within themselves. Always try to
topic easy for them to understand. Explain it very clearly and any confuses part
