1. As a friar, how did Juan De Plasencia describe the
religious belief of early Filipinos?

Answer = Juan De Plasencia describes the religious


belief of early Filipinos It talks that It is true that they
have the name simbahanwhich means a temple or
place of adoration. During this time the whole
barangay and family are united and joined in the
workship which they call nagaanitos. Among their
many idols there was one called Badhalawhom they
especially worshiped.Badhala is the most powerful
and maker of all things. All human they praised, trust
and worshiped this is one of the beliefs of early
Filipinos. Also the nature, sun , the moon they
worshiped too especially when it was new.

2. How did Morga describe the religious belief of early


Filipinos?

Answer= Antonio De Morga describe that there is no


specific temple, no houses generally used for the
worship of idols, but each person possessed and
made in his house his own anitos without any fixed
rite or ceremony. They had no priests or religious to
attend to religious affairs, except certain old men and
women called catalonas. He talks about the
ignorance and stubbornness of the non-christian
Filipinos. The natives proceeded more barbarously
and with greater blindness than in all the rest. They
buried their dead in their own houses, and kept their
bodies and bones for a long time in chests.

3. How did Loarca describe the religious belief of the


Pintados?
Answer= There were two Gods, one called Captan
and the other Maguayen. Both of them believe that
the land breeze planted by the God Captan it will
grew up and broke into two sections. Which became a
man and a woman until their many people in
theworld.And after that there so many happen. The
natives of these islands have neither time or place set
apart for the offering of prayers and sacrifices to their
Gods. It is only case of sickness, war that sacrifices
and offered. Sacrifices called baylanes.

4. Was Chirino’s Observation of early Filipinos religion


influenced by friar?

Answer= Yes, because it is influencing to all and also


the friar it describes about our belief that there are so
many belief in early Filipinos. They worship the
Badhala which is the most powerful. God the creator
or maker. They preserve songs which they know by
heart and learn the children and if you hear this song
they can relate the fabulous genealogies and vain
deeds of their Gods. It can influence by the friar until
now there are some adopted belief.

5. How similar or different were descriptions or Chirino


from Plasencia’s account of early Filipinos religious
beliefs?

Answer= Chirino and Plasencia are similar belief of


their Badhala they worship. The differentiate between
the two are Chirino’s they had no temple or houses
when they worshiped and also the crow. While the
Plasencia’s states there is a temple or places of
adoration when they worship. The sun and the moon
also the worship.The stars called tala.
