Marketing Research For “THANAL”-
A social entrepreneurship.

The success of this venture depends on the acceptance of the idea of social
responsibility among individuals. These individuals take the role of employees,
entrepreneurs, customers and volunteers in later stage.

At THANAL, our stakeholders are Companies and public.

A. Why Company’s should adopt this platform?

To improve their social engagement.
To attract customers
To increase employee engagement

Researches already done by people shows that engaging in CSR activities

increases the visibility of the firm and employee engagement‟s .It also shows
that millennials are looking forward to work with an organization that stand for
a „cause‟. Few such researches are noted here:

Supriti Misra & Damodar Suar(2010) in their research paper ” Does Corporate
Social Responsibility Influence Firm Performance of Indian Companies?.”
Controlling confounding effects of stock-listing, ownership, and firm size, a
favorable perception of managers towards CSR is found to be associated with
increase in FP and NFP of firms

Munaza Kanwal,Farida Khanam,Shagufta Nasreen and Shahid

Hameed(2013)in their research “Impact of corporate social responsibility on
the firm‟s financial performance” states that ,there is a considerable positive
relationship between the CSR and Financial performance of the firm, and firms
spending on CSR not only benefits from continuous long term sustainable
development but also enjoy enhanced FP.
Apart from this our own study conducted with potential employees ,graduates or
people doing Post graduation states that CSR is going to be an important factor
for customers and public.

1. Do you think that companies should take social responsibility more

seriously?

These individuals can be customers or employees and their view points on CSR
matters a lot.

2. Is company‟s CSR policy a factor that attracts you to join the company?
As we can see from the graph 46% of the people agreed to the fact that
company‟s CSR policy attracts them to join the firm which clearly indicates that
company should come up with innovative CSR projects. Thanal platform
created by the team could be of help here.

3. Will you be interested to join the CSR activities of the firm which you are
working?

Most of the people, also agreed to a fact that as future employees they would be
interested in being a part of company‟s CSR activities. This indirectly reflects to
increased employee engagement.

B. About volunteers:
We should have volunteers from public to help and support the CSR
activities initiated for the companies through Thanal platform.

Our research shows that most of the students in the age of 20-25 are interested
in doing volunteering during their free time and would love to be a part of
projects which makes a social impact.

Thanal provides interactive and convenient volunteering hours for individuals

or teams. Hence the research shows that there is enough scope for a platform
like Thanal.
4. Would you like to volunteer for social activities in your area?

5. Would you like to go for volunteering an event/activity if your friend

is participating?
