At this very moment, phones are ringing across the state. Doors are being knocked on. And
Californians, by the hundreds, are joining Meg Whitman’s campaign to rebuild California.

It’s a grassroots effort that began when Meg first hit the trail over a year and a half ago, and the
momentum has ramped up exponentially over the months. Meg has now built an army of tens of
thousands of volunteers who are filling field offices across the state and doing everything they can
to help her and this fall’s Republican ticket get elected.

“California deserves our very best efforts,” Meg said. “We can make the Golden State golden again
but it’s going to take all of us. Every single one of us is going to work harder than we’ve ever
worked between now and Nov. 2. And I think if we do, we’ll see that hard work pay off. What a
difference this fall could make!”

Since the start of her campaign, Meg has traveled to nearly all of California’s 58 counties. She’s
held nearly 700 campaign events and meetings. And she’s worked on behalf of the Republican
ticket to fuel voter registration efforts across the state.

She’s matching the hard work of her volunteers, who are out in force every day. In the primary
election, Meg’s 20,000 volunteers reached out to at least a million Californians. Since June 8, those
numbers have risen swiftly -- and by Nov. 2, Meg’s army of volunteers will be engaging millions of
Californians.

Christine McNamara of Palos Verdes has been involved in Meg’s campaign since the beginning,
visiting four different phone banks several times a week and speaking to groups to get out the
vote. She’s made hundreds of phone calls a day and likely has connected with thousands of voters
over the course of the campaign.

It’s a testament to the difference one person can make, McNamara says. And in this election cycle,
she says voters across the state who want a new kind of leadership need to get organized, they
need to recruit their friends and they need to get Californians to the polls on Nov. 2.

“This is our big chance to make a difference, and like so many, I really feel that if we don’t do it
this time, I really don’t know what the solution will be except maybe to possibly move on and move
out of California,” McNamara said. “I believe in Meg completely or I wouldn’t be volunteering my
time. She’s the strongest leader we have, so we have to do what we have to do to get her and this
ticket elected.”

“This is grassroots momentum like we’ve never seen before,” said Jessica Patterson, director of
Victory 2010, the campaign to get out the vote for California’s Republican ticket. “Californians know
that this election will decide the future of our state, and they believe Meg and this Republican ticket
carry the will and the know-how to fix our problems. It’s inspiring to see so many thousands of
Californians joining forces with our team to make our state better.”

November’s Republican ticket is the most diverse California has ever seen. These women and men
come from many different backgrounds. Several, like Meg, bring private-sector business
experience to the table. And, if she’s elected, Meg would be California’s first female Governor.

“We’re all on one team,” Meg said. “We’re poised for victory for not only the Governor’s race but
the strongest ticket the Republicans have fielded in many, many years.”
