I feel like my biggest strength is the ability to effectively lead the team by example and
overall be a proactive an involved team player. By this I mean making sure that all of the
group members are being heard, schedule meetings as frequently as possible and
ensuring that everyone is being involved in the progress of the project.
I also had a chance to work in a research laboratory of the previous summer where I
was involved in a research of developing a cost effective hydrophobic aerogel to absorb
oils spills. As part of the findings, developed a step-by-step cellulose blending method
using Nitrogen to achieve an aerogel that possessed mechanical qualities desired.
I feel that my technical knowledge gained during my time at the university and
transferable skills gained during the placements make me a really good for the position
and I would be excited to be a member of your team.
