1. SCOPE

This specification defines the requirements of detail design and construction for Plumbing and
Piping for Building for RAS LAFFAN ONSHORE EXPANSION PROJECT.

2. REFERENCES

The work shall be performed in accordance with this specification and the following documents,
codes, specifications, and industry standards. Their latest editions at time of contract award shall
be used. Local codes shall govern where they have more stringent requirements than this
specification. Where a conflict exists between the various documents, the conflict shall be
resolved by COMPANY in writing.

3. PLUMBING SYSTEM

3.1 General

Plumbing system shall be designed, constructed and tested in accordance with Uniform Plumbing
Code (UPC).

3.2 Plumbing Equipment and Fixtures

(1) Plumbing equipment and fixtures shall be provided in accordance with Table 1.

(2) Kitchen unit shall consist of kitchen sink, microwave oven, refrigerator and cabinet.

(3) Emergency eye washer and floor drain shall be provided in Battery Room. Where sealed
type batteries are used, emergency eye washer is not required.

(4) Sanitary accessories shall be provided in stainless steel finish as shown in Table 3.
3.3 Water Distribution

(1) Drinking water & service water shall be distributed to buildings from plant main system as
shown in Table 2.

(2) Drinking water shall be distributed to the following equipment and fixtures unless otherwise
specified.

(3) Service water shall be distributed to the following fixtures unless otherwise specified.

(4) Hose connection for cleaning and washing shall be provided as follows:

A/C Mechanical Room Service Water (except for SS-55/SIH-55)

(5) Electric water heater shall distribute hot water to the following equipment and fixtures.

3.4 Sewer System

(1) Building sewer shall be connected to outside sewer line without any treatment.

(2) Sewer from emergency eye washer and floor drain in Battery Room shall be connected to
sanitary sewer or soakaway where sanitary sewer is not available.

(3) A/C condensate and drain shall be connected to rain water sewer or soakaway where
sanitary sewer is not available.
