Dear Mr. and Mrs.

Tidwell,
This is a report on the development and activity of your child in Preschool. We have enjoyed
having your son and watching him learn and grow here in Preschool.
Wyatt is an excited, energetic, and independent boy ready to learn and play with the many
activities provided here at Preschool. He has shown an interest in building in the block area and
creating new things. Wyatt interests also include building cars out of different types of blocks.
Cognitive Domain
 At the beginning of lab, one of Wyatt’s goals was counting to ten. We are continually
working on this goal here in lab with him. Earlier in the semester Wyatt was engaged in a
numbered hopscotch math activity. The goal was to throw a bean bag and whatever number it
landed on than that’s what you would hop to. Wyatt counted up to 6 before mixing up the
numbers and forgot to say then. Wyatt has said these numbers but not in the correct order. As
a lab we try to incorporate math in a few different activities and we will continue to work on
this goal. Wyatt’s initial goal was to count to ten and now he continues to show progress in
this developmental area.

Social/ Emotional Domain

 Initially Wyatt had difficulties engaging with his peers and making friends. Now as of 11/29
he has shown major progress in engaging with the other preschoolers. On 11/1 he played
with the play dough with four other children. On 11/29 Wyatt used his pretend played in the
firemen dramatic play. Him and his peers dressed up as firefighters and drove cardboard
boxed cars around and fought fires that were in the pictures hung up in around the dramatic
play area. Wyatt also built cars out of bristle blocks with one of his peers. They shared
different block pieces and shared the blocks that made the wheels to their cars. Wyatt
engaged with two of his peers while building marble work structures and rolling the sensory
balls down the structures that they had made. Wyatt was first observed to not engage with his
peers but now he continues to show progress and engages with his peers throughout his time
at Preschool.

Wyatt has developed and grown in many different aspects during his time here in lab. Shown
above are the goals we have worked on and helped aid him to develop during his time here in
Preschool. Activities that will help him support his development in these areas can be
building with blocks that have numbers written on them. Wyatt has also shown a high level
of interest in building different structures for cars and airplanes. To help support
development in the Social and Emotional domain use activities that he enjoys such as
building block structures or building cars while playing with other children.
