Educational Philosophy:
I believe that learning is a natural process that occurs primarily through meaningful content based interaction with
teacher and peers. My goal is to enable student development by using thoughtful lesson planning, effective classroom
management, and judicious differentiation to remove all impediments to learning and create a safe and nurturing
classroom culture. In my classroom, I act as a facilitator of discovery as well as a source of knowledge and expertise.
I strongly believe in a practical approach to teaching; as I develop my teaching practice and grow as an educator my
educational philosophy will change, but my objective will always be to enable students to become ethical,
compassionate, and successful global citizens.
