4. Overall for the demographics there is a pretty big number of students that come from a bilingual
background in the school I chose. With that being said there will be at least 2 ELL students in each class.
With this there will need to be teachers that can help educate ELL students in the best way since there is
quite a bit of ELL students. With this demographic teachers will be needed to help ELL students a little
more than other students. With my school there is a big group of Asian students compared to other
ethnicities, since this is the biggest minority the ELL programs will need to emphasize to this language
the most but also still help other ELL students that speak different languages as a first language. The
book explains how there is a wide range of ELL students at school that all need the same help even if
there is a bigger minority group. “ELLs come from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, linguistic, educational,
and socioeconomic backgrounds” (Wright, 2015, p. 24)
