WHO WE ARE

Prior to March 31, 1995 Orient Petroleum Inc., (now OPII) was a wholly owned subsidiary
of Occidental International Exploration and Production
Company (OIEPC). Effective that date, OIEPC sold its
entire capital stock holding in Orient Petroleum Inc (OPI)
to the Hashoo group of companies. Accordingly, since
March 31, 1995 OPI has been a company of the Hashoo
Group.

After 1995, OPII embarked on a comprehensive

OPII also, successfully acquired 25% Government of
Pakistan share in Dhurnal and Ratana fields. It was also
the major competitor to British Petroleum in the bid for
the Badin Concession with a US$ 125 million bid. As of today OPII holds 03 Operating and
02 non-Operating Development and Production Leases, 03 Exploration Licences along with
Joint Venture participation in various Blocks in Pakistan.

It has also entered into successful joint ventures with prominent local and foreign
companies involved in E&P activities in Pakistan. These include Zaver Petroleum

DHURNAL MINING LEASE & FACILITIESF &

Dhurnal Oilfield lies 60 kms South West of

Islamabad in the Potwar Basin. It is
currently producing over 245 BOPD and 1.5
MMscfd. In order to ensure enhanced and
stabilized production as well as efficient
water disposal, an environment friendly
water injection secondary recovery project
was implemented, the first ever secondary
recovery project in Pakistan. Dhurnal was
the largest oil-producing field in Pakistan
with peak production of 20,162 BOPD in Dhurnal Water Injection Plant
1988. OPII reevaluated Dhurnal Field in Water Injection System, involves the injection
of produced water back into the underground
formation due to the fact that the volume of
produced water exceeds storage and dumping
capacity. Since the produced water contains
small quantities of oil along with other
chemicals, it is not discharged into the local
environment owing to the harmful effects it
could have on the soil and local water
resources.

Large, multistage pumps, capable of generating

pressures up to 3600 Psig are used to inject
2500 to 3000 BPD of water into the formations.
Water injection plant also comprises of a water
treatment plant before injection for maximizing
2008 and has identified new undrained crude oil recovery.
remaining potential which will be exploited
after newly acquired 3D Seismic
interpretation is completed.

OPII has seven wells at Dhurnal. Two are

producing now, one on gas lift while other is
producing naturally. The Production facility is
consisting of HP separators, LP separators with
desalters, Coolers/heat exchangers and storage
tanks. The produced water is being dumped into
the lower most formation in water injection
wells using high-pressure water injection
pumps. One HP gas compressor is used for gas
lift purposes, powered by gas driven engines.
Dhurnal Oil field generates its own electric
power with the help of one generator which
runs on fuel gas produced in the field. In addition to this one diesel generator is also
available as standby.

BHANGALI DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION LEASE & FACILITIES

There are two wells in Bhangali field. At

present there is one well, Bhangli-1, is
producing crude on artificial lift. The second
well is already watered out. In 1998, the
completion string of Bhangali-1 was replaced
with properly designed gas lift string having
gas mandrels to lift the crude from deepest
possible point. The Production facility is
consisting of one HP separators,
Coolers/heat exchangers, Amine sweetening
plant and storage tanks. One HP gas
compressor is used for gas lift purposes, powered by gas driven engines. The field is
electrically power with the help of one diesel generator while the second is as standby.
Bhangali field witnessed an increase in oil and gas production to 475 BOPD and 2.14MMscfd
during 2002 by implementing better-depleted field management techniques. Deepening of
Bhangali-1 is planned in 2009 to test deeper potential.

RATANA DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION LEASE & FACILITIES

There are two wells in Ratana field namely R-2 and

R-3. The production facilities are installed at R-2
location. The facility includes two HP separators,
condensate storage tanks and Loading bay etc. The
fluid stream produced from R-3 is received at R-2
facility through an 8” dia and about 8.5 Km long
pipeline. The produced gas is shipped to POL Meyal
facilities for gas processing and Sulphur recovery.
The field is electrically power with the help of one
diesel generator while the second is as standby.

The dedication and commitment of OPII’s team

at Ratana helped tap the resource potential of
the previously bypassed Eocene Zone and
resulted in the discovery of new production
possibilities. Deepening of Ratana-2 is planned
in year 2009 to test the potential of
Datta/Kingriali formation and new well is
planned for year 2010.

MIRPUR KHAS BLOCK

OPII, as Operator, drilled fifteen exploratory wells in this

concession on behalf of joint venture partners. Our consistent
efforts and expertise have led to the discoveries of Kausar
Deep-1, which flowed 31.48 MMscfd of gas and Usman-1
flowing 48 MMscfd of gas during initial production testing. To
add to the impressive run of exploration operations in the area
Umar-1 was discovered, which tested a flow rate of 3,000 BPD
of condensate.

Another discovery, Ali-1, was made in the area with a flow rate
of 22 MMscfd. Ahmed-1 was discovered in 2006 and flowed Kausar Field – Phase II
about 29 MMscfd gas in initial testing. At full production this is MIRPUR KHAS BLOCK

expected to contribute significantly to OPII’s cash flows.

Lately, with the approval of the Government of Pakistan OPII assigned its all working
interest alongwith Operatorship to M/s BP Pakistan Exploration & Production Inc. effective
January 01, 2009.

KHIPRO BLOCK

With one of the largest drilling programs in place at Khipro, OPII made four significant gas
discoveries. These include Naimat Basal (27 MMscfd), Siraj South (24.3 MMscfd), Bilal
North (6 MMscfd) and Bilal-1 (14.5 MMscfd).

Two more discoveries in the Khipro Exploration License were achieved namely Kamal
North-1 (2124 bopd and 6.25 MMscfd gas) and Rahim-1 (851 bopd). OPII as Operator
drilled fourteen exploratory wells in Khipro Block.

Lately, with the approval of the Government of Pakistan OPII assigned its all working
interest alongwith Operatorship to M/s BP Pakistan Exploration & Production Inc. effective
January 01, 2009.

SINJHORO BLOCKSSS

OPII is also a non-operator joint venture

partner in Sinjhoro and Concession. Ten
discoveries have been made in Sinjhoro out of
the sixteen exploratory wells drilled in the
area by OGDC as Operator.

MEHAR BLOCKSSS
Whereas Mehar concession is operated by Petronas
Carigalli and has a gas-condensate discovery from Mehar-1
with gross recoverable reserves around 0.75 TCF from the
sand stones of Cretaceous. Mehar-2, an appraisal well was
recently drilled about 130 meters down dip of Mehar-1 at
Cretaceous level, which tested good quantities of gas /
condensate. The Ranikot formation of Paleocene was also
tested with commercial quantities of gas / condensate. The
overall recoverable reserves are now more than 1 TCF. So
far four exploratory wells and one appraisal well have been
drilled in Mehar Block.

SAKHI SARWAR BLOCK

OPII and ZPCL signed Sakhi Sarwar Block located
in District D.G. Khan and Rajanpur, Punjab
