VEDANTA ALUMINIUM LTD capacity of 2400MW thermal power station, power step down to
400Kv/220Kv ,220Kv/1560VDC Rectifier units & capacity 1.6MTPA.It is one of the giant power &
aluminium producer in INDIA.
Responsibilities:
 Operation , maintenance testing & commissioning of power industry & rectifier unit of
400/220kv switchyard,33kv switchgear,11kv switchgear ,LT switchgear,220kv AC/1560V DC
rectifier unit .Troubleshooting of equipments on breakdown.
 Special interest on power system studies ,fault identification,study SLD & relay .Hands on
experience in relay like NR relay,ABB relay & Siemens.
 Transformer: IR, Tan Delta (Bushing & Winding),Online DGA analysis, Oil BDV Analysis, SFRA
(Through external party), RTD, Cooling pumps & fan motors IR & WR. Checking of PRV, Buchholz,

 CLP GROUP- Jhajjar Power Plant is a 1,320 MW (2 x 660 MW) coal based power project
located at Village Khanpur, Dist. Jhajjar, Haryana

Responsibilities:
 Generator & excitation system.: 660MW Turbo unit generator ,Testing & maintenance of
generator,Unit generator overhauling,AVR & static excitation system ABB unitrol 5000,Excitation
transformer SUNTEN 2500KVA (22KV/960V),Testing & preventive maintenance .
 Commissioning activities.: Hands on experience of cable scheduling as per built drawing ,Drawing
review & coordinate with the OEM,Attending meeting with OEM & senior management for technical
review on different projects .Review of BOQ & BOM. with team.
 Protection system & power system analysis: Study the protection system for transformer ,Motor &
generator with OEM. .
 Generator Testing: IR, WR, Tan Delta & PD, RTD, Online Shaft voltage monitoring, Carbon brush
length & replacement on line, PM of LAVT, NGR & Generator terminal enclosure.
 Generator OH: Rotor removal & Insertion, Physical Inspection of stator & rotor, NFT, ELCID & Wedge
tightness checking & replacement, Bearing Insulation, RSO test for rotor, FPT Fluorescent Dye Penetrate
